I KNOW. I KNOW. I HAVE NO EXCUSE. adfjlkajfdiawjgs. I really don't--I'm PBing her now, but not from this era. SIGH. These are mostly from pictures that have been taken since my last post. I also went back in and used some pictures from the same events that I hadn't seen before.

I, uh, hadn't really intended to make this set. I was just looking around a little. But then I saw all the images of her that make her look, to me, kiiiind of like an annoying punk-esque (where "punk" is a euphemism for "wears too much eye makeup and is mean") girl made even more annoying because she takes pride in being mean... etc. See, I'd have fun PBing her as a character like that.

I'd say that someone needs to teach her how to smile at events, but that would sort of take all the fun out of making icons of her.

Kristen looks an awful lot like Jena Malone sometimes, don't you think?

I sort of flipped out when I saw this girl in Twilight. Nine or so years ago, she played Stacey on Big Wolf on Campus, which is one of my favorite shows ever, and I pretty much hadn't seen anything with her in it between then and this weekend. After the five seconds it took me to recognize her, I spent every later scene she was in staring at her to make sure I was seeing things right. I was only a little bummed that neither of my friends had seen Big Wolf before, so I couldn't share my joy with them.

AT ANY RATE. She has beautiful hair. She has beautiful eyes. She has a beautiful face. And now she's finally getting some attention thanks to being in such a huge franchise, and this is excellent enough that I don't even care that that franchise is Twilight. :DDD

I find her affectedness quite amusing. Her typical pursed expression... I just think it's hilarious that someone who is already hot also seems to try really, really hard.

She's adorable. I'd love to do a set of her with short hair at some later date. As it is, these are all of her with long hair and bangs -- mostly from 2007/2008, though some are from Hellboy, which was released in 2004.

She makes me want to use her for a young, self-satisfied pureblood wife who married for money and duty and is a total ice queen. But, uh, I tend to get muses such as these a lot. I think in her case it's because she reminds me of a Parkinson, and there were a bunch of photos of her on Guillermo del Toro's arm. So there it was.

Okay, so, first of all, let me say that I will be absolutely floored if I ever find out that anyone besides me has used this girl as a PB. She is obscure. Even when she was still modeling she wasn't well known (and for that I have to apologize in advance for the substandard quality of the icons--it's hard when you're working largely from images that are kind of small, quite gray, and grainy), and at this point I haven't seen any pictures that aren't at least a couple of years old.

However: I used her for Mandy Brocklehurst at Exsang a while back, one of my personal favorite characters, so of course I am very fond of her PB. And my old icons were pretty terrible (read: really terrible), so I had the urge to redo them. She's definitely not the most expressive model ever (probably why she never did much), but that was perfect for my reticent, somber character. (Whom I would love to play again, by the way. Someday.)

And I think she's really pretty. So there you go.

I love Anna Paquin. Adore her. One of my favorite movies ever, both when I was a kid and now, is Fly Away Home, and I suspect she can do whatever she wants and I'll still like her. I'm also really enjoying True Blood, though I haven't read the books. And she's hilariously good at bitchy, bored red carpet photos, even though she seems like a sweetheart in interviews. Love it.

What I think is sort of especially cool about her as a blonde is that it looks good but strange on her because of her eyes, and thus you could easily use her for a girl who regularly dyes her hair. Which is kind of what I would like to do.

So I posted the first part of this batch only, oh, four and a half months ago. Clearly I am on top of my shit. :|

I'm still considering possibly iconning a few of the other boys in the movie. If I did, it would be Christian Bale and/or that Arvid kid. Oh, and maybe the romantic interest. But given how long it took me to finish these, this will probably not be in the immediate future.

Some of the songs they play in this movie are part of my singing group's repertoire. I remember kind of squealing when I realized that one song was Bei Mir Bist Du Schön, which is one of my absolute favorites. I'M A MUSIC NERD, WHAT OF IT? >.>

Icon-making is a de-stressing activity. This is how I'm justifying making this set instead of doing my problem sets.

I think her haircut is adorable, so I wanted to do a small[er than my usual size] set of her only from pictures where she had short hair.

I know she's been iconned like crazy. I am, however, somewhat in love with her, so I really, really don't care. :D

I've been working on this set since early August. I tried to focus on recent images, but I also used some older pictures that I particularly liked. There may also be a set of her when she had shorter hair at some point in the future. :|

I fucking love this man. I love his long, flat, crooked nose. I love his profile.

Sometimes, the movies he's in are kind of boring (Love in the Time of Cholera, anyone? I didn't even bother finishing it :/), but he's fantastic, and a true chameleon. Seeing Vicky Cristina Barcelona this evening reminded me of how much I love him. I pretty much started iconning him as soon as I got home. :> And I want to PB him... now.

Mostly, I was really, really amused by his hair in this movie. It's ridiculous, and yet his face is still hot. Well done, Henry Cavill.

Also: something that I find really amusing about this movie is that although it's obviously period, most of the costumes are not overtly medieval. Please note the wool sweater-jacket-thing and the turtleneck collar.

The lighting in this movie was so messed up. It was generally either in lovely but very desaturated daylight, or in a firelight interior, or at night. Annoying. :/ I upped the saturation of most of the icons to try to deal with this problem.

I started watching Big Love the other day. I kind of like it, but it's also very weird to me. Anyway, I do quite like certain characters, such as Margene. So as a quick batch while I work on those other ones, I decided to icon Ginnifer, who imo is really adorable.

These are largely from promo shots and screencaps, with a few photoshoot icons thrown on at the end.

I should really be studying right now. :| Also, this was supposed to be a smallish set. Ahahaha.

I don't like Emma as Hermione overly much (well-styled blondish curls do not big bushy brown hair make... I hardly think the films have really tried since Sorcerer's Stone), but it kind of tickles me to see her used in any other context -- perhaps I just like the idea of defying that image. Also, she's actually a teenager, so you'd get bonus realism points.

All source images are from 2007, for age and style consistency. I hope she has decided to rethink her 2007 hairstyle, though. I like her a bit better with brown hair; I think the blonde occasionally washes her out a bit.

It's super late, and I am thus quite tired, but I wanted to get this set up. There may be more later, from more screencaps.

1. Michelle is REALLY PRETTY and I love her. I also, admittedly, love Georgina, and I found it rather disappointing that the secret she was lording over Serena was lame as hell.
2. She is in somewhat high demand right now. So there you go.

Also, people complain about the lighting on Gossip Girl, but I tell you this: it is less annoying than the infuriating CW logo placement. I knew when I watched the finale on TV that the (big!) logo's awful location, i.e. NOT in the corner where it belongs, was going to be a big problem. Oh well. Anyway.
